Updated Guidance Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

A Message From Superintendent Tracy Wrend

There are still no cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Vermont.  The Vermont Department of Health has indicated that the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been updated for individuals who have traveled to Italy, South Korea, Iran, and China, returning today or in the future.  We are not aware of any students or staff within Lamoille South who may have recently traveled to any of these areas; however, out of an excess of caution, want to provide all with the most up-to-date information and ask for your continued assistance. Please note that the guidance is not retroactive.

Individuals who are returning to Vermont from Italy, Iran, South Korea or China are asked to stay home and monitor their health within a 14-day period and call the Health Department at 802-863-7240 to let them know that you have returned from an affected area. A health official from the Department of Health will give you additional instructions.

Updated guidance from the CDC can be found here:

Students and staff who are arriving from one of these areas and will be staying home are asked to contact their building principal or supervisor.  Absences will be excused, and we will assist with keeping learning on track during your absence.  Jordan Myerson, our Director of Nursing Services, is also available at 802-585-4087 or [email protected] for any questions and support.

We will continue to provide information and updates as new information becomes available.
